Android TV Playback Settings H265/HEVC

Having a playback issue with H265/HEVC files when using my AT&T TV Android TV box where the video seems to stutter, almost like it’s playing at the wrong framerate? I only have this issue on Android TV. For comparison, I played the same video using Roku TV player version 6.7.15.6886-07e5ab0d7 without issue, so I know it’s the android tv player and not the file or the server.
