VLC option on Plex Player Android TV for 4k HEVC x265 10bit videos

Hello,
I (and according to reddit, many users) can’t play 4k x265/hevc 10 bit videos properly on android tvs. If you pause or fast forward the movie, everything freezes.
Some people suggest using a TV stick or an Nvidia Shield, but for my part the same video is played correctly by VLC.
I also use Stremio. On their TV app, at the bottom left there’s an icon that lets you open the video with an external application.
Perhaps you could integrate a VLC option into your player or offer the same type of link.
