Having this problem right now.
Shield TV 2017
MKV files with Subs.
As soon as I select the subs, it stop working. Even with the Video Quality in Original.
Log files (Server and player) which capture this happening are needed.
There are too many variables involved to guess what might be happening.

The server is in a NAS of Qnap, and the device reading it is a Shield TV 2017.
Yes, same or related issue. If I start the video on the Android client with subtitles, I receive “Unable to play file”. When I disable subtitle it works fine. The same video works perfectly on the Mac OS client.
Maybe in the last ones?
