Android - Unable to play synced music through playlist!

Hello All,

I’m not sure what happened, but I am not able to shuffle my playlist of synced content. I rather not delete the app and resync everything as Android doesn’t have a “sync playlist” function yet.

I’m getting the error “Streaming Session doesn’t exist or timed out”

Can anyone advise of what I’m doing wrong?

Thanks,
Vin

Anyone have this issue? Perhaps we are able to brain storm to figure this out?

I’ve been having the same problem lately as well since a recent update (week or two ago). Currently when I have content synchronized I keep getting that error. If I remove the synchronized content it plays fine on the same device. Once I re-sync, it starts again. So far not synchronizing is the only way I’ve been able to make it work.

Really, no devs can respond? I’m not doing anything on my backend special. Just an simple install on my Windows server, and update the app when it pops up.

This isn’t right to have a feature be broken when it has worked for so long, and no response.

It’s really frustrating with no resolution in sight. My yearly renewal is coming up for the Plex Pass, and I mainly use Plex when I work out at the gym. If I can’t use it for my primary reason, why would I renew?

I’m in the same boat kinda. I manually synced each song in a playlist and it use to play fine but now I get this same error. Just updated the app and still having the issue. I’m going to sync one song at a time and see what happens.

I tried syncing each song manually and same issue. The whole point of me syncing the song so there is no load time for the song, and I can keep pushing harder when working out. This is beyond frustrating.

Feel your pain here having exactly the same problem and have my entire library synced as well and yet nothing. It’s incredibly frustrating as no end in sight…

I reset my phone, and updated to the latest version of Android. Issue still persists.

Bumping this post. Please provide some resolution!

I, too, would like a resolution to this. At least some acknowledgement that this is an issue. There are several threads about this issue. Plex?

This is insane. To not acknowledge an issue to your subscribers is nonsense. This may or may not be a primary source of income for the developers. But to basically tell us to ■■■■ off and not offer a solution for something that is commonly used is a great way to lose some money.

Join the Android beta. Use the new playlist sync function. Shuffle. Profit.

I requested an invite two weeks ago, no notification or nothing.

Good talk.

When you signed up you should have gotten a confirmation from Google that you are now in the beta. Give it a few hours and check your play store. You should be able to update to 5.0. Note that the beta will take over the regular app so if you want to go back, you need to leave the beta, uninstall the app, then reinstall the old version which should beer back in the store.
