I'm a huge anime fan and collector and have only seen an isolated discussion about using Anidb for use with a better anime metadata agent. I for one would welcome it.
It's pretty much hit or miss trying to get proper scans for much of my anime series. Since the OVA's can't really be mixed in due to the need for differentiating those as movies versus tv episodes, it's challenging to organize as well. Perhaps a new category would be helpful, dedicated to anime in this instance. This, coupled with a default metadata agent that uses Anidb's incredibly well constructed database would be nothing short of spectacular.
Are there any discussions about scraping with Anidb going on? If not, is anyone interested in this topic?

Acutally, I just realised I hadn’t thought much about the OVA’s as you mentioned in your first post - I don’t normally watch them so I don’t have any lying about. You would want to keep those with the show I guess? I’ll have a look at how they could be handled, not sure how Plex presents them to the agent as they normally don’t have any episode numbers.
Yes, OVA's are tough. But just the addition of the AniDB is such a big help in it's own right. Thanks again for your efforts and for taking the time to keep the community informed.
