This is the reason I don’t really check out forums that much anymore. Every time I login I get this annoying “you have answers” popup. If I dismiss that popup (the X in the top right corner), it bloody well pops up again when I’m typing something.
I realize that powers that be want us either accepting or rejecting the answers, but how about respecting what we want – uninterrupted session if I dismiss that stupid popup once?
At one point I’ve accepted/rejected everything, except the my own posts where I was the only one who followed up and the popup would still not go away. So you kinda see why I want to ignore it now.
Whatever the reason might be for dismissing the popup, it should be limited to once per session, not once per page-view.
The forum allows 2 types of posts. A question and a discussion. If you mark your post as a question, you get that yes/no question for each response. Unfortunately this is part of the Vanilla software we use and it can’t be turned off. For discussions, there is no yes/no since that wouldn’t apply to a discussion. If you want a question changed to a discussion or vice versa, let a mod know and we can change it.
