I had / have the movie… Watched it some time ago on plex. A friend of mine tried watching on his server. it wouldn’t play. Now the movie is gone… gone from his server, gone from my server, gone from another friend of ours…
We have all verified the actual file is in place, but not identified by plex.
The 33 (2015)
It might not have disappeared. It might have been matched to the wrong movie and is in there as something else. @FordGuy61 seems to have a great suggestion of adding the imdb ID. This is the first time I have seen that suggestion. Kudos to him (I also drive a Ford)
I just ripped it last night, but following Ford’s suggestion, I renamed it the filename he used above (I do not put them in individual folders) and then after I did that, it fixed the problem.
I am one who likes to include the edition so after it detected, I renamed it, again, to “The 33 (2015) {imdb-tt2006295} - {edition-Theatrical Release}.mkv” and it stayed correct.
I too had it… and watched it… It was brought to my attention by a friend who was trying to watch it.
I first tried renaming using imdb number.
I use folders
Plex server Version 1.40.2.8273 if that make a difference…
Went so far as to do a database repair.
Odd that it disappeared on 3 different servers ( All unraid with nightly updates, I am leaning towards something in the version.)
I’m not sure if simply renaming the file will do once it’s mismatched. You might want to do a full Plex Dance with the file.
Given it’s still showing for others, it’s unlikely there’s a large scale issue „removing“ a very specific item from your library.
