Cannot get Plex to see this certain movie

the movie is I.T. (2016) with Pierce Brosnan - I have renamed it just like the IMDB site and then got back into my server and updated my library (multiple times) and it still will not pickup the movie, how can i force plex to even pickup the movie?

running the unraid Version 1.2.0.2765

Hi, Random question… If you are on windows, i found with some files, if you right click and properties the file click details, there is a title tab. Now i have seen what ever is in this title tab takes priority over the name of the file. So if i was you clear the title field, so then plex uses the name of file.

Ive same issue but on mac. ive had this movie sitting on my nas now for a while and plex refuses to pick it up.

Hi i looked at that and its renamed close enough and it still wont bring it in, is it possible to rename the file as some other movie so plex brings it in then find that movie and then correct with (fix incorrect match) or?

well I am going to try a test and pick a movie and rename it the same and then try to correct it, or the option i just thought of is bring it in with a movie that insist even in plex… glad and sad im not the only one. :frowning:

well 1/2 of what i just tried didnt work, I copied Sharkenstein 2016 which plex had already scanned in on a different disk and renamed I.T. 2016 to Sharkenstein 2016 rescanned and also restarted the docker server for plex and it didnt add a second copy of this movie in the admin page for this movie, if i go to media info only the original sharkenstein movie is showing. I have to go to work but will try a movie that (should scan into plex) and then rename I.T. to it and then retry…

Got it , renamed the I.T. movie to (sunset boulevard - A MOVIE I DON’T HAVE) and then copied it to the unraid shared drive re scanned my movies folder and it found sunset boulevard and then performed a (fix incorrect match) and then typed in I.T. and 2016 in the year and it found the movie. What a PIA 8-X
