App is opening but not loading content

I can open and sign in to the app with no issues, can also navigate the app fine, but as soon as I click on Movies, Shows, Music etc. nothing loads up, the sound playback indicates I have selected it but then nothing happens.

The Plex app for my Samsung TV & Amazon Fire TV still work fine using the same server too so I have ruled it down to be a specific issue with the Xbox one app

Xbox one app version: 2.0.4.70
Windows: 10.0.16299.3036

Same problem here after updating the xbox one and it no longer connects to the Plex server which is on the same local LAN. Error message “Server not found”.

Linux: 1.9.7.4441
Xbox One: 2.0.4.70

@swinton Could you take a screenshot of how the dashboard looks like?

@belsig Try going to the app settings and changing the Allow fallback to insecure connections setting to Only on local networks or Always.

Hi, thank you for your help  please see attached screenshot

So when I click on Movies, Shows, Music etc. the “ding” sound plays but then no action, and sometimes the “ding” sounds like its been cut short by a fraction of a second.

I also tried re-installing

plus I tried your recommendation to @belsig just to be sure, no luck.

I’m also having exactly the same issue. I can access movies etc via my iMac, so it’s not Plex itself that’s at fault, rather it must be something with the app on Xbox one. Anyone got a work around?

The server log with debug logging enabled would show if the connection and requests are making it to the server
Also please indicate what time the failure occurred so relevant part of the log can be checked
Also if you know what IP address is the xbox is on

please do the test after a restart of the server so fresh logs get created
Wait 5 minutes after restart then try

@swinton @Warriors2017 You need to follow the instructions to complete the first run and load your content. From the screen you posted you need to press up on the D-pad to reveal the library picker.
