App want start on Samsung TV

Hitting the Plex app on the Tizen smart-Tv loads to Black Screen.
After trying several times and two Server restart it loaded, sat for a minute on the “plex” logo, then flicker, then you have to sign in, then this

What.. And why would i visit status plex tv? Its no use
TV is Obviously OnLine.

WHY would you do that ?

  1. Is the start of the new year and ISPs have been reconfiguring customer networks. ( lot of modem/router firmware updates pushed )
  2. In those reconfigurations, DNS got changed for several I’ve worked with.
  3. Remedy was indeed to check then update the DNS settings to restore normal operation

Plex is the only thing not working on the tv.
plex is working on pc (whoa shocker lol), and the Shield (no need for sign in on either).
Plex was working on tv on Friday night (actually Sat as it was past midnight CET time).
I dont use isp dns because, why would you :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I dont get why it just stopped working, and that it (Plex) just give a blackscreen and one time showed logo → sign → screenshot

There were a few times when, after they released an update, I got a black/blank screen during app loading.

The blank screen is a server-side problem.

  1. A tiny ‘loader’ app is what’s in the TV
  2. The first time you open the app after an update, it goes and does the download of the actual app.
  3. After it’s downloaded into the TV, then it launches.

What happens is that , even though both parts are pushed up and released, the servers which feed our TVs don’t get both pieces.

The TV team will need to get in to the remote server and fix their app.

I’ve sent the message. They should be taking care of it when they get in tomorrow (or if someone signs in today)

I got no idea what is going on. Plex want even reinstall or download.
The TV lan is wacky as heck connected to a non excising network or it found a real Clewer hacky way to bypass the Switch it is connected to and route itself to the isp-router. And what is REAL fun with my pos ips, ONLINE only router administration. (500) Internal Server Error… They call it “security”. Oh, its snowing in Norway today, so of course half the country is paralyzed. Its coming 1 to 2 inches. :rofl:
