Samsung TV ue43j5502 - plex app stuck on loading screen

Server Version#: 1.24.5.5173
Player Version#: 4.63.0

Starting from yesterday app just stopped working on TV, loading screen and it just sits there and then exits after a minute so I can’t reach any app settings on TV.

I’ve tried all settings with network security,

reset smart hub - turn off tv, install smart hub, installed app and still can’t go past load screen.
Is my TV model no longer supported?

Got the same issue today, but my app wont close its just stuck at Plex logo screen.

Uninstalled the app, checked the network, reset the TV…still not working

I can move around the app by moving and I ear sound like something is moving in the background but not seeing anything apart from the Plex Logo… Wth…

Samsung tv:

Os version: 1250
Model: UN55KU6290
Software Version: T-JZL6AKUC-1250.2

Plex app version: 5.10.0

Same issue here. Server: 1.25.0.5246. KS8000 on 1250 firmware like rere225.

Same exact issue… Plex is now broken on Samsung TV as of today.

Weird. Mine was working this morning but now it just shows the plex logo.

Day is now ruined as I can’t watch any of my stuff on TV… God I hate how we “customers” are actually the beta testers. :frowning:

After several years of no problems, I too all of a sudden and making no change, have just the Plex logo when I start the app. I updated the server and reinstalled the app but still no luck.

Can anyone help me understand what could possibly cause this? I thought that since I have a TV and my own server all on a LAN that nothing could happen to cause this except for a bad software update. How can I check for any updates? Any other ideas on what might be causing this?

Thanks.

Same … Everything worked yestrday now it’s totally broken.

Samsung TV

I’ve managed to fix it.

  1. Update plex agent on PC to latest version-
  2. Go to plex server in browser and un-authorize everything. - browser, tv.
  3. Uninstall smart hub from tv
  4. Turn off tv - but you need to unplug power cable for hard turn off - since tv actually doesn’t
restart from scratch if you “power it down” with remote.
  5. Go through smart hub wizard and install latest plex version
  6. Again turn off tv - pull out power cable
  7. Login into plex through your browser
  8. Start plex app - link tv again
  9. In browser optimize libraries for “modern” experience
  10. It should work now.

Kind regards,
