I have a silver Apple Remote, and am running the latest Plex server upgrade on my late 2012 Mac Mini. I have confirmed I am paired to the computer, and am able to use the remote’s play/pause button to stop/start playback in either the server or in Plex Desktop. However, any other buttons on the Apple Remote seem to either do nothing, or result in iTunes opening up. Plex’s online documentation says, “If your Apple Mac has a built-in IR port, then Plex Media Player can be controlled by using an Apple Remote,” however as I have said, only play/pause works. What do I need to do, to access the entire list of functions Plex says should be available with the Apple Remote?
