Apple TV 4K Audio Lip Sync Issues

I purchased an Apple TV 4K as a secondary player to my HTPC, and was wondering why the audio is out of sync and seems to be randomly getting worse?

With bluetooth headphones I see no way to fix this frustrating issue. I’ve tried multiple times to calibrate wireless audio sync for my airpods pro but that doesn’t help at all.

With my TV/Soundbar I can set the audio delay from my TV at least but I shouldn’t have to do this every time.

Apple TV + app and other apps don’t have this issue and I’m able to play bluetooth or audio through my soundbar with zero lip sync audio lag.

All my Plex media files are 1080p remuxes from blu-ray in MKV containers. Does plex on apple TV have a audio delay setting within the app that I’m somehow missing? I can’t return it as I’m past 14 days so any help is appreciated.

Welcome to the club. There are workarounds, such as turning off match frame rate or using the old player. All with significant drawbacks.
