I don’t know why but for some reason the issue is gone for me. Anyone else also experiencing this?
I fear it might only be temporary. I’ll come back to give update either way in a week or two.

Is this using both the new video player and new audio player?
For me too now. Offset is set to 0 and everything is now in sync.
Lucky you… tvOS 16.6 and newest Plex client, new video and audio engines, still looks as bad.
Not for me.
Are you converting at all?
HI All
I need for your appreciate opinion:
I’m still on 8.17 (5542) because the audio issue (strangely) with my Video/audio setup seems working good.
So for some months I didn’t follow this thread.
Can I update to last Plex version or better no?
Tks for your assistance!!!
A week later and everything still works fine for me. I haven’t made any updates. There is a chance that my Apple TV and the Plex app has made an update without me knowing it.
I have 0 audio delays.
I also have 0 of the ugly code text on my screen. This one I fixed myself under settings. I didn’t expect the audio delay issue to disappear like this.
Everyone should try and update their Apple TV, their Plex app and go through their settings to see if there is anything they can do. It could magically fix the problem.
Verifying a couple of quick points:
Is this with the new audio and video player enabled?
Are you direct streaming, or is there any conversion happening on server?
Thank you!
A+++ thread, would read again. Hopefully when I check this thread again in another 2 years to see how many new ways Plex has come up with to blame Apple for the problem while Infuse (written by unicorn wizards apparently) works perfectly, the Plex employees will have graduated from posting account information about a supposed lying user claiming to be paying for Plex to doxxing and posting their address so we can form a pitchfork mafia at their doorstep!
the posting of user account information on a public space was best! Especially by the same guy who wouldn’t back up his own points properly and then completely derailed the topic and who has now gone MIA, this place is second to none lol
Unfortunately that’s at least twice that he’s been asked that question and still without a reply.
Dunno how I missed that bit? I thought I watched this thread like a hawk!
My offset is still at +175ms and that is working for me, if this issue is fixed, does that mean at my +175ms offset it would start looking out of sync?
whats the story? i missed it.
Still sitting at +175ms as well, then toggling to 0 for stereo content.
No, nothing being converted. All direct play.
It is basically what was posted already. An unhappy user made some comments expressing his frustration, a Plex employee accused him of lying about his Plex subscription status and then proceeded to doxx him here. I try to understand Plex and to support them, but they are very good in making it difficult. Anyway, I suggest you leave it as that and stop asking questions, I was banned for much less.
The offset helps significantly. However, I noticed that my offset needs to be adjusted for different movies (i.e. 4K vs 1080). And it doesn’t solve the frame dropping issue.
I’ve been using my Nvidia Shield Pro at home as a workaround still.
I’m telling you… this thread is gonna hit year 5 lol
this is the final nail in the coffin for me. i’m fixing my metadata to work with channels DVR.
lol using offsets… bye bye plex! so glad i never got a lifetime sub. i paid for a month to try live tv/dvr and it’s soooo bad. you people should be embarrassed ![]()
