Apple TV 4K HDR support ?

Hello i have the new Apple TV 4K and i am trying to play a h265 4k hdr file (http://demo-uhd3d.com/fiche.php?cat=uhd&id=159)
It will start but then freeze.
i have the apple tv connected in gigabit ethernet to the plex server ( core i7 8gb Mac mini ) also connected to the same netwokr where the synology is.
I can play 4k hdr from Netflix.
Is plex trying to convert the file or will it play untouched ,?

The app has not been updated yet. Just wait a bit and you should be good.

But most of the file i find are 10bit not 8bit.
So i have to first transcode to 8bit ?

Yes the frame rate is 59.940fps and needs to be 30 or lower, bit depth needs to be 8 and it needs to be in mp4 format not mkv.

I would assume additional format support is coming but I have no info on timeline on that.

Lol, I never noticed. Have a 75 Sony 4k with the Apple 4k TV and everything looks great outright. Looking forward to the future upgrade.
