I have a setup where I have apple tv and I have Sonos with apple tv (Airplay 2) connectivity.
If I use netflex everything always works fine. I just select the speaker and it works. But somehow if I use plex a lot of issues occur.
The first time I start plex and play,
- it works
- or I have to select on my iphone to send the sound via airplay via the apple tv to the speaker ( plex misses the common feature that you can select the speaker from the top menu via the apple tv remote: swipe down, go to audio menu.)
- or I have to deselect the speaker, add it again and after a couple of seconds it works.
- or when I paused my tv show, I have to wait around 40 seconds before the sounds appears
- or when I go back to the menu, or sometimes with pause also, I get distorted sound. I have to go back to the menu a couple of times, or open/close the plex app before it works again. Unclear what the work around really is…
