Audio Distorted

Just a bit ago all the audio on everything I try to play is super distorted, other apps on the Apple TV have no issues playing back content (such as YouTube) but just the Plex app. I have tried to reinstall it, restart everything, and it still is this way. It seems okay when scrolling through Plex, just when playing content. I have upgraded and downgraded the server but it still has the issue. If I play on my phone or MacBook and airplay it I have no issue, which leads me to believe it is a Plex app issue.

After messing around with the quality it appears AAC 5.1 causes this issue, if I force it low enough into stereo it doesnt have this issue. I dont have a way to force AAC 5.1 on anything else really but I tested other apps that I know are surround works fine in other apps (such as ec-3. If I force the Apple TV into Stereo mode only, it works alright as well. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Having the same issue. Only started the last day or so.
I’m guessing it’s a problem with this version of the tvOS Plex app?

I had the exact same issue. I physically unplugged the Apple TV and did a hard reboot. This fixed it temporarily. Now I get occasional audio stutters in all of my files. This seems to have started when I updated to tvOS 16.
