I am seeing the frame drop again on my Apple TV 4th gen with 1080p movies. I am on server Version 1.19.5.3035 and tvOS Plex client version 7.2.1. When I turn off the enhanced player the frame drops go away. Or if I leave the enhanced player active and turn on match frame rate on the tvOS settings they go away. My version of tvOS is version 13.4.6. This is the same issue I had a few months ago that was fixed with a client update. Now it seems to be back. I haven’t watch a lot of movies due to it being summer here so I don’t know when this really started again.
Have also the issue seen today. Plex client is on version 7.2.1. Switching back to the old player (native TVOS) playback works perfect. So it seems to be an issue in combination with mpv.
Any update? Does anyone have something new on this?

I just updated my server from 1.19.4 to 1.20 to apparently fix this stuttering issue I’ve been dealing with for literal years. Mostly with HEVC content. And still hasn’t fixed anything. I really don’t get what the issue is anymore. The old player always gave me stutters so I just used infuse instead. But infuse doesn’t support multiple users. Then I tried the new enhanced player and it still had the issue. So I switched to the older player which now works perfectly. I don’t get what the problem with Plex is here. Rokus and infuse play everything perfectly still. I’m using the old video playe again and things seem perfect. Which never happened before.
This update that they said fixed this issue definitely did nothing for me.
Guess Plex has given up on fixing this
