Is it possible to set subtitles to be off by default on the plex app on apple TV.
The first thing i do on most media is go the setting and turn off the subtitles, they are not burned into the media so can be turned off, but would be great if the default setting could be for them to be off.

Review the audio and subtitle settings in your Account Settings.

a) Check the box for Automatically select audio & subtitle tracks
b) Select preferred audio and subtitle languages.
c) Select desired action for Auto-select subtitle mode (see screenshot below).
d) Save changes.
Make sure subtitles are flagged with correct language code.

a) External subtitles should include the language code in the file name. Ex: movie_name (year).eng.srt
b) Internal subtitles should have the appropriate language tagged in the file’s metadata. Use MKVToolNix Header Editor or similar for MKV files. Subler is a good, Mac only, metadata editor for MP4/M4V files.
You may need to restart the AppleTV, so the Plex app will pick up the new server settings when re-opened.
