Anyone got any suggestions for how I can get a stable stream playing in Apple TV? Seems like the Live TV plays fine in a browser and my Android TV, but when I try to watch a channel through Apple TV it plays for a few minutes before throwing up an error about the transcoder failing.
If there are transcoder errors than more than likely that’s something that will have to fixed by Plex developers. I’m not aware of any TV tuners that won’t require transcoding on the fly for the AppleTV.
Which tuner are you using?
Hauppage WinTV Dual HD, Works like a charm on AndroidTV & a browser (where it looks like its transcoding both of those streams too.) Only seems to be the ATV4 that has the issue. Stream cuts off after a few mins and gives an error about the transcoder crashing
