Which takes precedence? I used to have Auto Adjust Quality to On and Home Streaming Maximum on Plex/ATV and managed to avoid transcoding when streaming locally but allow transcoding for my remote users. But now I have to have Auto Adjust Quality to Off in order to avoid transcoding when local streaming. This seems like a recent change on Plex/Apple TV.
Although this fixes my local streaming issue I worry about the effect of on my remote users who depend on transcoding.
Original Issue:
I have Plex on 2 different Apple TV’s and they aren’t able to play >1080p content without trying to transcode to a lower bitrate.
However Infuse on both Apple TV’s work perfectly fine. And so does Plex on Nvidia Shield. I have confirmed that everything (2 Apple TV’s, Plex server, Nvidia Shield) are on the same wired subnet.
This seems like a regression or change in the Plex app on Apple TV?
