Just opened up Plex on Apple TV and the player looks like it’s updated and the menus for my media library are buried under the ‘more’ button instead of the front page, as they have always been. I tried to edit the home page but it won’t let me add libraries from my server only plex web. Not at all what I want, taking me extra clicks to navigate and I can’t access individual navigation for my own libraries either (e.g. can’t go through to ‘movies’ on my server, only the recently added movie that appear on the front page when I click through to my server content). Anyone else have This problem? It makes the app largely unusable.
That “new” navigation was actually introduced more than 1 year ago 
If Plex is showing none of your libraries on its main navigation, you might want to “reset customizations” on the Plex home screen. This will let you pick your preferred server and libraries. If it’s just single libraries… open the “more” view, click the ... icon next to the library name and select to pin that library.
Back in the main navigation you can also re-order the libraries according to your liking.
Personally I like this feature a lot. It allows me to streamline the navigation of each device for its target purpose (e.g. living room tv shows main movie/tv show libraries + home videos; iPhone pinned the main movie/tv shows library and my music library; desktop PC has the full list of libraries pinned for immediate accesss).
Thanks, yes I had actually tried to reset and reorder the home screen but it wasn’t letting me. The good news is that I tried restarting one more time just for kicks, and the menus are as they should be again (phew).
I thought this issue was fixed after restarting the app several times, but only the home page navigation has returned. I still can’t access the full list of items in any of my personal libraries - this used to be (until yesterday) listed along the lefthand navigation. I’m also unable to select or pin them to the home screen as they don’t appear as options when I try to edit the Home screen or pin items to the navigation bar, only plex movies and plex tv are options. This has just started happening in the last 24 hours & I have trued resetting several times, and restarting, editing home screen etc etc but these libraries have vanished from any menus or menu selection options. Any ideas?
Make sure your Plex Media Server is up-to-date (latest public version is 1.19.3). You might need to reboot the server after upgrading it for the Apple TV (or iOS devices) to pick your library content up again.
Yes just checked and there was an update for the server that I hadn’t installed yet. It’s all looking great now. Thanks for your help.
