Apple TV Plex Client - AutoPlay Next Episodes

Hello Everyone,

I’m using Plex with Apple TV 4K as the client, have been using this for well over a year without issue, also my Plex server is hosted on Ubuntu Linux Server, this has been in place since Plex’s inception, so a very long time. For about the past month, I have been having some issues with the Plex client on the Apple TV, this issue happens almost 90% of the time, so firstly, if I select a TV episode to play, it takes me to a black screen, so the actual show does not start, even though in the logging its says its playing, if I select the pause button on the Apple Remote and then select it again to play, the episode plays correctly, also, at the end of the episode, auto start the next episode is set and you can see the time delay countdown to start the next episode, but again, goes to black screen and does not play, even though the logging says its playing, again, pause and start again fixes it. My overall solution has worked perfectly for years, but now, this issues has presented and its a pain… also, a few more things, if I use another device as a client, like my laptop with web client, this is not an issue, it works just fine. My library is quite large now, about 30 TB’s of files. I have attached the latest log file, hoping someone can shed some light on this, as its a real pain in the butt :slight_smile: Thanks Steve :slight_smile:

Happens to me now and then!! but when I hit back and play again it usually comes right until it happens again, not all the time but enough times to annoy me.

Yeah, it does that as well, but its become most of the time now, which is very strange and annoying :slight_smile:
