Can someone point me to a tutorial on setting up Subtitle settings correctly inside both the Server and also the Player? I’ve been experimenting with Plex for about six months now and cannot for the life of me get this to work correctly. Not being able to enable/disable subtitles in the ATV player will move me away from Plex. This seems such a straightforward, necessity in today’s era that the fact it doesn’t work is mind boggling.
Server runs on a Synology 1019+, player is on the Apple TV 4 (HD).
I need to be able to turn captions on and off in the Plex player. As it currently stands, enabling or disabling captions in the Plex player does nothing, the selector may as well not even be there. If I’ve enabled captions in any other app, captions will be enabled in Plex. If I turn off captions in any other app, captions will turn off in Plex. If I toggle captions on/off in the System Settings of the ATV, captions will disable in Plex. Why can I not enable or disable captions in the Plex player itself?
