Hi,
Is anybody able to play trailers or extras on Apple TV of recent? Have been on Beta servers, but even rolled back to current release version and still cannot. Only way to get them going is to force transcode.
Working like a charm. Are you experiencing this issue only on your Apple TV or other Plex clients as well?
Working fine on my android tv
Having the same issue once I upgraded to 14.6 or 14.7 it was working when I had 14.5
I can see another thread here too…so it’s not just us 2…

are these our streaming trailers or files on your server?
The trailers that you can click on next to the play or resume button when you click on a movie in your library..
is it possible to get your apple tv logs after the trailer fails to play.
Here is mine just downloaded straight after attempting a trailer. Note it just spins in perpetuity so had to back out eventually so not sure how that relates to the log…

Thanks. I’m fairly certain that this will be addressed quickly by the developers as it seems to be very widespread now. It’s funny I should have reported this earlier, because I noticed it a few weeks ago (when tvOS 14.6 beta3 was deployed), and I searched the forums at that time, and could not find anyone else with this issue, so I assumed it was a problem with my specific setup.
Haha, same. Have the AppleTV on beta update mode and have been living with it far too long, holding out for next plex update to fix it, over and over and over.
