AppleTV app: Live TV fails to load after app is foregrounded after being off/backgrounded

Bug that recurs almost daily for me.

When using the AppleTV on Live TV on a channel from my HDHomeRun local OTA tuner, it works great under normal circumstances.

When leaving the app (backgrounding it to use a different app) or turning off the TV, and returning after some time or overnight, and returning to the Plex app, the Live TV channel will no longer load. It sits on the spinner indefinitely. The guide also often appears at the incorrect time, often with blank space or no metadata.

Workaround; force-quit the Plex app via the appleTV method, and re-open. Thereafter all Live TV functions work normally.

As far as I can tell other live TV functions continue to work normally, DVR shows continue to record, etc. So appears to be something stuck in the appleTV app UI.

Can help with debugging as needed, have dev experience.

There appears to be some sort of playback issue with AppleTV clients that Plex is not addressing. I am having a similar issue but with playing DV media, not live TV. It’ll play if I start from the beginning. If it’s been paused or closed and re-opened and you try and pick up from where you left off, no go.

Really sad how poorly the app has been lately.
