Appropriate location for movies made for TV (TV Show or Movie)

This is a general question about media management. So as I am going through my media and trying to match its naming with recommended Plex’s way, it seems that movies made for TV are not recognized by Plex if I want to stuff it under “TV Shows” label (as there is no TV Movies available). It is too bad because technically speaking there is a difference between a movie made for a sliver screen (TV) vs a cinematic feature.

Does that mean that all movies made for TV have to be stuffed under “Movies” as seen by Plex in order to have their metadata matched and scanned?

Pretty much, but Plex Movie (IMDB) may not find a match as they work with only ‘proper’ movies. You may have better luck matching at TMDB - and if you had shared the name of these ‘Mystery Movies’ I could have checked for you. You can check TMDB to see if they’re listed.
