Are Cloud Sync and Plex Cloud Different Services?

I recently found an article describing Plex Cloud as a brand new service offered by Plex that allows you to store your entire media library (normally stored locally on a physical hard-drive) and instead move it entirely to Amazon Drive. You would then be able to stream directly from the Amazon Drive.

This sounds fantastic! I would love to not have to carry around a huge 8tb external hard-drive anymore.

However, when browsing Plex.com, I found an article on ‘Cloud Sync’ that explicitly states it is not intended for uploading you entire library to Amazon Drive to stream. It’s more of a selective sync type service.

I’m a bit confused. Is Plex Cloud and Cloud sync different services?
