HI,
Used Plex for years but just recently paid for the lifetime subscription an started using podcast feature as well, mainly for playing podcasts on my sonos system.
The podcasts queues are broken are they not?
If I play an episode, whether from the the list of episodes in the show or from the on deck feature, why does the queue fill up with the whole show.
Saw a few posts from nearly a year ago about this, has nothing changed in nearly a year?
Same complain here. I think I must be doing it wrong and I’m glad I found this post.
I tried to change view (in iOS app) from shows to episodes (drop-down menu up-left). But same behavior. The only way I’ve been able to work around it was:
- play an episode
- go to queue
- swipe down and tap on “clear”, the current playing episode remains
- from that moment you can open any episode and “add to queue” or “play next”
It is not a showstopper but pretty annoying.
I would also love if I could see this hand-crafted queue from other devices so I can continue to listen when I leave/arrive home or whatever.
I tinkered a little bit more with this and discovered that in the web or desktop app I am able to play the whole “On Deck” and it plays not only what is shown in “On Deck” but also the latest new episodes in release or publication order so you can catch up with all. Exactly what I expected it should always do or the “main success scenario”.
This “play the whole On Deck” action is not possible in iOS. The queue cannot be saved as playlist (that was another test I made) in any app version.
What I am doing wrong?
