Aronofsky's "Pi" not loading

I’ve got Darren Aronofsky’s 1998 classic film, Pi. I’m trying to add it to an existing ~1100 movie library. It will not load. Or, if it does, it’s getting improperly matched, and I can’t find it.

Folder structure I’d LIKE to have, is: E:\Film\Aronofsky\Pi (1998)\Pi (1998).mkv
I’ve tried that, and: E:\Film\Aronofsky\Pi (1998).mkv
And : E:\Film\Pi (1998)\Pi (1998).mkv
And: E:\Film\Pi (1998).mkv

None of them work. The MovieDB listing for it is under “Pi”, and it’s listed as 1998. I have created a one off library with just this movie, and it loads fine, as an unmatched movie, which I can then force to match. It works in any of the above folder structures just fine. However, this one isn’t showing up at all in my main library, no matter the folder structure. Or, if it is, it’s mismatched, and I can’t click through 1100 movies to try to find it.

Is there any way to search for filename in plex? Clearly, it’s named properly. And those file/folder structures/conventions are fine. I have the majority of my 1100 movie library like this. A main folder. Then a subfolder like “DC”, “Marvel”, “Stanley Kubrick”, or “Darren Aronofsky”, then a subfolder for each movie under it.

This is the only one causing issues. And I’m fine with any option that will work. But this won’t work.

I’ve done the full plex dance 20 times now, and nothing will make this one movie show up in my list.

One more piece of info. I have no duplicates, and no unmatched films. And, when I remove Pi from the main library location, rescan, empty trash, and clean bundles, I DO lose 1 film count from the main library. So, it IS getting added, it’s just getting mismatched, right out of the gate. And, there’s no way I’d ever find it in the 1,091 other films in the library, without hours upon hours of opening each film up, and checking Info on it, to see the filename.

Then, I add it back, in its purest form, E:\Film\Pi (1998)\Pi (1998).mkv, and my count goes up by one, but it’s not named “Pi”. And it’s not listed as an Aronofsky film, so I can’t find it that way…

From what I’ve read, I can’t search or sort by filename. Can I do so by date added to the library? That would let me find it…

Okay, answered my own question. The way to fix this is to change the “Movies” drop down, to “Folders”, then hunt down the file, and fix it from there.

For whatever reason, it was matched to “Black Dog (1998)”.

What is the software version of your server?
Which metadata agent is used for this library?

I was going to suggest looking by folder but you found that.
