I just updated my ‘Arrowverse’ and added (or want to add) Arrow: Blood Rush. This is a 6 episode webcast about 1 minute each episode. All 6 files (as far as I know) are the same. However, episode 4 has issues with PLEX. Actually, it has issues with Filebot as well. Filebot categorizes it differently from the other 5. I have spent over an hour trying to figure this out. If I name all the files in a similar way, ex: Arrow - S00E02 - 2013-11-06 (720p, AAC@2ch) - Mr. Queen is Unavailable.mp4 it sees all files but E04. (The previous example is if I put them in Specials. If they are their own series that particular file would be S01E01)
I don’t know what else to say about this. It just doesn’t work. I have not had this particular issue ever before in many 100’s of 1000’s of files.
I have put the files online in a .rar file if anyone wishes to have a look. Maybe one of you gurus will figure this out. I’d love to know what I am missing with this one file…
Whether (and how) you find them there, determines how you add them to Plex. (i.e. as a separate show or as special episodes. In the case of specials, it also determines which episode numbers you need to give them.)
Don’t forget that there can be differences between TheMovie DB and TheTVDB in how these episodes are numbered and sorted. In order for Plex to add them as you expect, edit the show and set its “Episode Ordering” to the suitable option.
After a mismatch it can be necessary to perform the Plex Dance, so that Plex will forget the match of previous attempts.
I actually did all of that Otto… But I will try again. I tried as Specials and as it’s own series… and both work perfectly in PLEX… with the exception of the episode titled “The Sample” which is s01e04 as a series and s00e05 in specials. Also have become a Lord of the Dance. LOL
I will give it another shot. As I said, I’ll probably post on Filebot forum as well because it also has an issue with that same file. In that it will do the other 5 as it’s own series but that one as a special. Yet, even doing that, PLEX will not see it at all… Has to be something in the file I would think…because before Filebot I started them off all named:
Arrow_Blood_Rush S01E01…S01E06 And all the db’s found them but issues with that one file.
I wish, if it were possible, that PLEX offered to MATCH episodic files as it does with movie files. I have never seen that option in the list but if it can be done please let me know how. Match and Fix Match would be awesome for tv shows/tv show files, in my opinion.
