Assistance Required with Server Recognition Issue on Windows Server 2022

Dear PLEX Support Team,

I am experiencing an issue with recognizing my server in PLEX on Windows Server 2022 and seek your assistance.

After installing the official PLEX server application on my server running Windows Server 2022 (IP address: 37.114.48.*,bero-host), I encountered a problem. When I click “Open PLEX” from the system tray icon, it prompts me to enter my username and password, indicating that anonymous usage is not possible. However, after logging in, the system does not initiate the usual setup guide. Instead, it directly opens the PLEX home page.

Upon accessing the backend settings, I noticed that the configuration seems to be linked to the last installed server in the USA, not recognizing this new server located in Germany. The expected new server setup guide does not appear, which is quite perplexing.

I recall that a few years ago, it was possible to log in anonymously and be directly guided to the new server setup menu. Has there been a change in the installation process, or am I missing a step?

Your guidance on how to correctly claim and set up my server on Windows Server 2022 would be greatly appreciated.

If the server has a public IP address, you must claim it locally or use an SSH tunnel.
