I am not sure if this issue depents on plexconnect or the atv themself. Since the upgrade to iOs 8 it occures sometimes that the atv freeze while i am watching a movie. After this happening the atv won’t react on any input stream, wheater from plex nor airplay. After a reboot all is fine again till the next event. It seems that the buffering of the movie is not continued and by reaching the point without data the atv play function freezes ( all menues are still reachable).
Maybe can someone help me here.

P.S. Running plex on a synology nas.
Edit: Former plex was puffering the howl movie but now there is only a puffer round about 10 min. Also does this problem only occure by plex but not by netflix e.g.

I knew this but i've no black screen. It's simple stop showing but still reacts on commands and i can start a reboot through the settings menu. Norhing else, it's sounds simular
Well the black screen only occurs during certain actions otherwise it’s buffer locked or other apps act strange.
I have seen this only at startup - the screen stays black, the LED doesn't indicate any remote button presses (doesn't flash any more).

I changed the direction of my postings to the treat started by wahlman. I have theory about a memory conflict triggerd by the fanart function.
