Can someone post detailed instructions on how to use the ATV3 with PlexConnect remotely. I already installed the cert on the ATV. And I know DNS and HTTP port have to be forwarded to cpu running PMS and DNS intercept. Also, it is not possible to have a local instance of Plex Server running where the remote atv3 is. The ATV3 is installed in my car and I am using my Iphone as a hotspot for the ATV3. I tried VPN but the hotspot network can not access my VPN net at home. I have no problem opening the necesary ports on my router as security is not an issue. I think i have to edit one of the settings files to allow from public wan. If the ATV3 had a built in VPN client it would be as easy as pie! Or the vpn client has to be in between the hotspot and ATV3.
Forget it. I will be using the Plex app on my iphone and airplaying it to the apple tv. Wont even have to use the tethering data.
