Audio Cutting Out on Samsung Smart Hub

Recently, audio started cutting out randomly (anywhere from 1 - 5 minutes) on the Plex App on my Samsung TV (QN65Q70R). The same issue doesn’t happen on the Web Player, nor does it happen on my Roku Devices. It’s not specific to any one media based on Audio Codec or otherwise, and the only thing I can pinpoint is the recent App Update for Samsung.

Audio will return if I exit out of the media, and return to it. But then it will stop again randomly. I’ve confirmed this isn’t an issue with the TV Audio itself, as when Plex isn’t pushing Audio, sounds from the TV (menu pops, etc) are still happening.

The same thing is happening on our Samsung TV, on some titles it’s fine, but others are unwatchable because the audio keeps cutting out, but it only happens on the TV, not on the file if it’s played on another device. I’m using a Netgear nas.

I just tried using the TV sound instead of through the Yamaha receiver and touch wood seems to have resolved it. Another thread mentioned the Hdmi connector does checks or something, but doesn’t make sense why only some episodes are affected and others not.
