Audio delay during start of play.

What option do you use for Sync playback to display and A/V sync method? The preference option for Sync playback to display and Enable passthrough should never be enabled at the same time, having them both enabled will cause issues on most platforms.

Please enabled debug logging in preference and share your logs if you have this issue.

In my case, I found that the OpenPHT “keep audio device alive” option was set to 1 second… I’d never messed with that setting before, so I tried switching it to “always” (as someone in this thread mentioned earlier as an idea), and bingo - that worked. No more delay in the audio starting up when starting or resuming videos / coming out of pause. (Mac Mini, El Capitan, Yamaha receiver.)

I do have them both enabled. Sync Playback is needed but i will check out if it help if i deactivate Passthrough.

As you can see from my post earlier with the settings, I also have this option on “Always” and it didn’t change anything for me unfortunately.
