Clicks and theme music play, but in all of my shows/movies no audio. I did find one show where I’d ripped the disc with two audio tracks and it played one of them, but not the other. I assume this is some sort of codec issue, but everything works fine in PHT. Any ideas?
This is most likely due to wrong audio output options used for your setup, please share the log from OpenPHT and some more details about your setup. What OS is running OpenPHT? Connected to a TV or AVR? Connected with HDMI or SPDIF? Number of speakers?
You can find your OpenPHT log at:
Windows: %APPDATA%\OpenPHT\OpenPHT.log
OS X: ~/Library/Logs/
Linux: ~/.plexht/temp/plexhometheater.log
I had the same issue a few days ago. Disabling ‘pass through’ in the audio options fixed it for me.
You need to check your audio settings and make sure the right output device is selected.
I had the same issue. Disabling “Pass Through” in the audio settings did it.
Been busy with other things the last few days, but I’ll check logs and try disabling pass through to see if it helps. Thanks for the rapid responses!

In case anyone else bumps into this, disabling pass through also solved it for me.
As a programmer with some (although not extensive) experience with developing audio/video applications I’m naturally curious about this. I presume its a codec issue on the client machine - that is, I was probably passing through a audio encoded in a codec that wasn’t supported/installed on the client. If anyone else knows more about why this might be the case, I’d love to know the cause.
+1 For disabling passthrough. I was even running it on the same machine as plex!
