I’ve noticed that when I play music, there are often times when the next song starts, the first second get snipped. Is there a way to fix this? If I play the same audio files in another player, there is no issue.
This has been a problem for a while and is very annoying. I think it may be a problem with the AV amp’s delay in detecting the PCM signal and starting to process and output it. It takes a second to react. It happens between tracks but not when you pause a track where there is still a PCM signal still being sent. You are correct that it doesn’t happen with other programs so hopefully they can fix it. Keep a constant PCM signal being sent at all times maybe? I’m using a Mac mini late 2012 and HDMI to an AV amp. I’ve used two AV amps and the problem is present on both. Hopefully when the gapless audio feature is added this will ease the pain a little but not when the first track is played or skipping tracks.
Actually managed to fix this by switching off Exclusive mode in the Plex audio settings menu. However this is at the expense of bit perfect audio. It will no longer now automatically switch Bit depth and frequency depending on the input file. Oh well a compromise I’ll have to make. I think its more down to the handling of audio on the mac mini rather than plex.
I keep seeing mentions of settings for audio, but I can’t seem to find them anywhere. I look at the App, click the Settings from the upper right corner, and none of these things are shown under audio.
