Ok I am having strange issues. I had everything up and going on my server, running off windows 10. Then I got rid of that computer (had someone who needed it more) and installed on another computer. I moved the usb drive over to the new computer and installed and setup Plex as new. Now no matter what I try, I am unable to get video to play. I can get audio but never any video. My primary player is an xbox one, but I have also tried on android both on and off the wifi. I have reinstalled plex multiple times, verified it is up to date, and to top it off, I got my original computer back, installed plex back on it, and this is doing the same thing. I have disabled and enabled Direct play and direct stream, and every combination but still no good. I can post logs, but not sure if I should attach or copy and paste. Please help.
Oh and if I try and play directly on my local computer where server is installed, I get “Error code: s1001 (Network)”
- Enable Logging, turn off Verbose
- Shut down Plex Media Server
- Turn Plex Media ServerBack on
- Wait 5-10 minutes
- Play file from chosen device(s)
- Stop Playback
- Wait another 2-3 Minutes
- Download Logs from Settings>Troubleshooting
- Come back here to plex forum and give the following info:
Plex Media Server Version Number
Platform (Windows/OSX/etc)
Playback Client version number
Attach the logs.zip file to the post
Ok so it ended up that the USB drive corrupted all the movies on the drive… Plex is working with newly added files.
