Unable to get playback when using Plex

Server Version#: 1.23.5.4862
Player Version#: 4.59.2
I can’t seem to get any Plex products to play my movie. When I first installed plex it played for about 5 mins then errored, I hit play again and got about a min and has not worked since. No Plex device will play the move but if I use Windows to play directly from the server no issues.

I have deleted everything on that volume of the server and reinstalled. I have re-added the file to the server. I do get and Error code: s1001 (Network) when played from the server software but anywhere else I get unavailable. The file being played (or not played lol) is an Mkv file. This is the only file on the volume and everything is pretty new.

Here is the error from the log:

Trumpy81 Thank you for your response I am concerned about adding the logs as I have seen sensitive information in there that is why I clipped the error and supplied it. Do you know if Plex has direct support? I don’t mind working with an agent 1 on 1 but sharing personal information in a public space more so than we all already do seems concerning.

I will do this, just FYI Plex was installed from the Synology factory on there. ot saying they can’t have had a bad copy but the likelyhood I would assume is greatly reduced. It was why I bought the Synology to begin with.

I would have to look but it’s the latest (updated yesterday) and brand new.

Okay the reinstall you had me do seems to have done the trick. I did this yesterday so I am confused why it worked today and not then. Maybe your source file was better then where I got mine. Either way thank you for the help Sir!
