Audio out of sync every time episode change

Player Version#: 16.1

While streaming to macOS, in both Safari and Chrome, the first episode of a TV show plays fine, but after that the audio gets out of sync every time a new episode begins. This is new behaviour and as far as I know I haven’t done anything to neither server nor client. I have no clue where to troubleshoot this, any pointers?
