Has there been any reports of audio sync issues with the Xbone One S app?
I’m having audio sync issues on regular Xbox One. Audio is delayed by about a half second. Playing the same media on a different device has no problem.
I might be able to help about a bit here. I discovered yesterday that the audio the Xbox One sends to the optical audio out port is 120ms delayed from the same signal over the HMDI port. I’ve not noticed a delay at all when the audio goes out over HDMI. Perhaps your are using audio over the optical output? Even if not, perhaps your TV or receiver has the option to adjust the audio sync so that you can tweek it to your liking?
I discovered the 120ms delay because a purchased a Turtle Beach Elite 800x headset to use when playing Rock Band 4 online so that I can hear the music and chat without any concerns with the music being fed back into the mic. This headset utilizes the optical audio out so I could listen to the HDMI audio from my receiver and the delay was very noticable. Fortunately I can adjust the audio delay on my receiver to make it the same as what comes out of the optical port to get them is sync so that I don’t have to recalibrate the game when switching between audio sources.
It would actually be pretty sweet if Plex would implement the ability to set a default audio sync offset on a per client device basis. It would be even sweeter if we could adjust the audio sync on a ‘device + media file’ basis so that when we have a single file with the audio track out of sync, it could easily be adjusted. I suppose the second part would actually be better if it would actually edit the file to permanently sync up the audio and video.
It think I will put in a feature request to implement a per client audio sync offset as it would be nice to handle situations where your hardware is the source of the problem.
