Audnexus doesn't work

Hi. I set up Audnexus as an agent in Plex. But now I found out that I can’t scrape the audiobooks for title update. If I manually update an audiobook it seems that the agent Audnexus doesn’t search anything. I don’t know what it is exactly in the English version of Plex. I have the German one. I have a picture of the result in searching. It seems it doesn’t search because it shows the missing results too quickly. It comes instantly like it is on my picture.

I have been using Audnexus for a few years, and I also use the older Audiobooks/Audible plugin scraper.

Recently, in the past month or so, both scrapers do not find any matches for anything. I have updated the Audnexus bundle, it made no difference.

Some 4-5 years ago, Plex announced Plug-ins were going to be deprecated and eventually, all plug-ins would need to update to the new API or they would stop working.

The first evidence we saw of this was when “Channels” was removed from the Plex/Web browser. All those plug-ins were removed.

As time marched forward, the new scanner and matcher agents, now written in C++ further minimized any need for Python (what plug-in scrapers rely on).

This type ‘no longer works’ behavior is expected.
