Authentication Server Down?

Remote connections do not work, and it doesn’t even allow me to sign into my server on the PC it’s installed on? All was working fine just a few short minutes ago, but now everything is FUBAR. What’s up? And how about fixing it, and letting us know when there are issues like this? Thanks!

Yep they’ve decided to screw us over without at least providing lube

Down for me also.

Good to hear it’s not just me. Sucks that it happened at all though, but sh*t happens. Hopefully they are aware of the problem, and resolve it soon.

A friend of mine was able to login remotely now, give it a shot.

I miss the days when I could access my server without logging into a central server. This is crazy! You guys need to figure out a graduated failure approach. If central servers fail, there is reduced functionality, not a total fail state.

This is why the forced auth servers are bullshit. This just ruined my groups weekly movie night. We only have enough time to watch the movie immediately it was the best time slot we could all get together as a group what with jobs and life. Now this week we missed out because plex wouldn’t let me sign in to my LOCAL ON LAN SERVER. and i did not have anything setup for doing direct file playback. Sadly its time for me to search for an alternative because i am not going to put up with this ■■■■.

Yep this is bullshit.

Unable to watch anything on the LAN just because the tards at plex.tv can’t keep an auth server running?

So basically I’ve paid $150 to a company to lock me out of my own media.

Nice work. Spastics.

i do not have any problems

Could someone from Plex please explain why the app needs to connect out to switch Plex Home users on my Roku? Maybe we can help you find a workaround to the problem you are having to solve this?
You have so many users - quite a few of them technically savvy - surely we can crowd-source a solution to the problem with downed connections.
