While the “auto” metadata is helpful, why does it change it back to incorrect settings after?
It’s unclear if the LOCK button does anything as I’ve tried to toggle them on and off after entering new data but on TV shows, it still insists on changing them to a movie by the same name. VERY ANNOYED.
The setting should be that NOTHING GETS CHANGED after I manually change any data.
If you want further details, I often edit eps of a TV series together so i can watch 4-5 in a row and by editing out the theme song and end credits but it confuses the PLEX metadata service. It seemed to be confused because I added the season after the show name in the file name - like Rules of Engagement S1 1-5, and the next one Rules of Engagement S1 6-10 … I tried putting the number first but it seemed confused that anyone might have 10 files with similar names as it kept insisting on filling the metadata incorrectly to a movie even if I manually change the info plus what’s worse, it would lump files together as one movie … I can send along more details.
