Auto collections not showing up

I had to move my Plex server over to a volume on my synology NAS that had more room on it. So after I did so, I’m noticing that collections automatically created from TMDB are not showing up. I have both the Library setting turned on under Advanced Settings as well as “Use collection info from The Movie Database” under the Agents setting for TMDB. What in the world am I missing???

Thanks for any help anyone can provide

Once you turn them on, did you “refresh metadata” on the files? Plex needs to do this to pull down the “collection” tag.

Also make sure that - somehow - the “collections” tag on your media isn’t already locked (somehow).

Lastly, what is the “Minimum Automatic Collection size” set to in your library’s advanced setting?

Figured it out… Minimum automatic collection size was disabled. REALLY wish settings were laid out in Plex logically and not spread out all over the place.

Ah. You mentioned having the “Library setting turned on under Advanced Settings”, but glancing in there all I see is the minimum size level, which determines if Plex will auto-generate collections for you from the agent-found metadata. There is another setting that is kinda-but-not-quite related, which is how you set IF any collections you have (auto-generated or manual) show up in the main library list, or kept separate.

It does seem to me that those two options should be next to eachother, but only one was needed here to have your media pick up collections from online sources.

Sidenote: I have never messed with the agent settings. I didn’t even know you could disallow the collection tag from being “collected” from online sites. maybe I ought to glance around in that menu.
