Rebuild library, missing Collections

I just rebuilt my Plex server, moved from local package to a new Docker instance (all new metadata). Plex is not adding Collections to my movies.

I remember being able to collect these automatically. Is it because of the Agent? It’s all new setup, so everything is at the defaults, e.g. it’s using the “Plex Movies” agent.

How do I get Collections auto-added to my movies?

Please double-check the settings of that library:

  1. Open ⋮ > Manage Library > Edit... and navigate to the Advanced tab
  2. Set the option Minimum automatic collection size to the minimum number of items of a collection in your library for Plex to create a collection entry – if I remember correctly, this will default to Disabled – you can set it e.g. to 2 if you want to avoid single-item collections
  3. Refresh the library metadata (⋮ > Manage Library > Refresh All Metadata)
