Auto-play next episode on Post Play screen stops after 7 episodes (1.3 and later)

Hello,

I usually fall asleep to random TV shows, and ever since version 1.3 of the AppleTV software, my shows have stopped playing at the Post Play screen. This seems to happen after about 6-8 episodes of auto-playing. This behavior occurs regardless of the shows watch status.

I have updated my server, erased the Apple TV and even tested on a brand new Apple TV with the same exact behavior occurring each time.

That is by design and cannot be changed.

The workaround is to use a playlist.

Plex does not believe their users are smart enough to handle choice so they do not allow the poor little users to have choice in things like post play.

I wish I had the problem of 7-8 shows. I’m seeing this after only 3 shows. Stop being Netflix and let users choice how many “auto playbacks” there should be. 1,3, 5, 10, unlimited. This is the reason we use Plex and cast off Netflix. I see this as a bug, not enhancement.
