Ever since I migrated my media library and Plex Media Server install directory to a new hard drive with a new drive letter, Plex auto updates no longer work. I have to manually install the latest version from the Updates folder, but doing that causes the install process to hang for about 10 minutes before it completes. Any idea why Plex cant seem to install these updates automatically?

When you moved that database to the new drive, you did that whilst PMS was fully shut down?
If not one option would possibly be database corruption.
Wait…Or are you saying you changed the default path when you installed initially. If so with what intention.
My hard drive was beginning to show signs of dying so I mirrored all of the content, including installation folder, metadata and media folders to a new drive. I then added the new media folders to my existing plex database which essentially meant I had two copies of every movie. Once Plex had recognized everything, I went into Plex options and changed the path of local application data to copy on my new drive. Once everything was pointing to my new drive, I was able to remove the old drive from plex entirely. No doubt this was a convoluted and unnecessary way to go about this but it accomplished my goal with this being the only issue I experienced.
Mine is failing to auto update as well.
Does nothing. Maybe because I am on ReFS?
