Automatic full screen viewing?

Server Version#: 1.21.1.3876 (Synology)
Player Version#: Plex for windows 1.26.0.1531-92029e9e and Plex Media Player 4.29.2
Windows 10 x64, latest

I don’t think this is a server issue, but added the version anyway.

Now, for my TV I would very much like Plex (either Plex for Windows or Plex Media Player) to always play media in full screen. If I click the full screen arrows, it will revert back to either “windows full screen” (with the bar on top and visible taskbar) or windows mode as soon as I do something. Even if I click pause, it will jump out of full screen mode. I’ve searched settings and all, but couldn’t find anything.

Is it possible to set either of these in kiosk mode or similar? For this device, there’s no reason to window anything.

I love this player and server, but…this full screen thing is what’s holding me back from using it more.

You can use the command line arguments --tv --fullscreen for Plex Media Player when you start it.
(full screen in “Desktop” mode will always work as describe above)

Thanks

Did some googling, and f11 also seems to work in both apps, and it seems to stick even when restarting the app. Found that in an oooold thread somewhere, but not when searching the forums. Will try that first, and if not I’ll stick with Plex Media Player with the switches you gave.

Is Plex Media Player still begin developed?

Unfortunately not.

Is there any way to request a full screen mode in Plex? I don’t think I’m the only person who would like that, or at least for full screen mode to persist if manually selected (with the two arrows or f11). It would make for a much more hassle free experience
